A very tough war to fight. Over 50,000 dead. I remember seeing the video of the embassy at the end of the war. The first time I saw the Vietnam Memorial in DC, I was stunned. It seemed to go on forever. Watching the people at The Wall, was very moving. I remember at the end of Desert Storm, there was a big parade and military display on The Mall. I was fortunate enough to be chosen to work the display and the parade. The show of pride by the public towards the military was pretty great. It was almost like they were trying to make up for the lack of support for the troops returning from Vietnam.
